Have you ever thought which kind of soldier was the best kind? Well in my opinion its the sniper. During high school ive always been fascinated by these elite soldiers, they see you without you seeing them, they could blend in like dead leaves in a forest, they know what time you wake, eat, go to work and know where you live. Snipers when given a target studies them for days or even weeks, they watch you, and you wouldn't even know.

I read an article entitled "What goes on in the mind of a sniper?" by Stephanie Hegarty read from BBC News Magazine. It talked about Chris Kyle a former Elite US Navy Seals sniper who became the deadliest sniper in American History. It talked about how Chris Kyle started out. Well he was positioned in an Iraqi town and was given a sniper rifle to scout the area while his fellow comrades entered the town. When his comrades arrived he spotted a peculiar woman heading towards them, and to his surprise the woman was carrying a grenade, now what would you do when you see such a sight? well for Chris all these things came into mind, like she's a woman, if i shoot her what would happen to me?, would I be sent back?, what happens if I don't pull the trigger?  All these thoughts simultaneously rushing into his head. And without any debate he pulled the trigger. "She made the decision for me, it was either my fellow Americans die or I take her out." said Chris Kyle in the Article. Chris is now a retired Navy Seal.

Most snipers say that when given a target that has to be observed they say its almost intimate on how they observe there target. Imagine laying in some building watching your target from across and just well watching. Creepy yet interesting.

 Well most people may think its easy to snipe. Like "ohhh" anyone can do that all you have to do is pull the trigger when you see your target. Well if you thought that, you're dead wrong. Snipers start out at 3rd Marine regiment to MCB Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay's Regimental Schools, according to an article "Marine Corps Scout Sniper Training" by Marine Corps News Service . Snipers undergo extensive training to further broaden there skills, some of which are mental, physical, marksmanship, weapons, camouflage, and reconnaissance techniques. Snipers study gravity, how Earths movement can change the direction of a bullet and wind resistance. Not so simple aint it? "The Marine Corps has the best sniper program in the world." said by Sgt Richard Tisdale. So if you want to be a real life sniper the best place to learn is to join the Marine Corps.

Snipers are also masters of disguise. see that tree? that's a sniper, see that log? that's a sniper see that pale of water? Ehh teats just really water. Any ways snipers are trained to blend in to there environments to scout and avoid detection. Imagine lying down or even standing still motionless, doing nothing but gather information. The picture here to the right is a sniper wearing camouflage called a ghillie suit. Its made to match the environment and to keep yourself hidden from enemy eyes.

Now for a snipers favourite weapon, what else than a sniper rifle? A sniper rifle if you must know is a rifle that shoots a high piercing bullet that could fire from miles away. If you think about it its really freaking awesome yet scary. Most snipers arent really 1 hit kills, in fact it depends on where the target is hit that decides his fate.
